Wildlife sightings in the Bearberry Area
This is a Notification/Communication system to advise the community of bear sightings and incidents. Residents and Travellers west from Highway 22 are reminded that you are in bear country and to act accordingly.
The most ambitious project of this group of volunteers is to develop a telephone fan-out notification system and educate the public how to behave in case of an encounter of certain wildlife species. In case you saw bears or cougars in your own back yard or somewhere in your area, please report your sighting or call Sundre Forestry Office at 403-638-3805.
