Many people from all over the world settled in Bearberry in the early years of the 20th century. Many of their families still live in our area. Over the years, more people have chosen to make Bearberry their home because of the beauty, quiet, and proximity to both the wilderness, and the city.
Ranching is still the heart of the community and wildlife can still be seen frequently. Don’t be surprised if you see some wild horses!
Don’t look for high rise buildings … the “downtown” is only marked by the Community Hall, the Heritage Barn Museum and The famous Bearberry Saloon. Note that there are no gas stations, so be sure to fill up in Sundre before you head west!
Check out our Events page for information about upcoming events.
