Heritage Barn Museum

In 2000 the Bearberry Wapitana Society had the opportunity to move the old James River Ranger Station to its new location. With lots of volunteer work, and local funding, the new Heritage Barn Museum was established and opened in 2001.

The Museum displays artifacts from the History of Bearberry as well as crafts and merchandise from local artisans and businesses. The museum is open weekend and holiday afternoons from July through September long weekend. Plan a day trip and head west.

We have some ice cream treats available for purchase at the Museum, or head on over to the Bearberry Saloon and have a bite to eat. It’s also a short drive (on gravel) to Beaver Lake, Birch Lake or Burnstick Lake for some family summer fun time. Or, check out the crown land surrounding the area. You might even get to see some wild horses!
