Newcomer’s Welcome

We are so glad you have chosen to make Bearberry your home (or home away from home). We hope you find what you need here to get connected.

We host a variety of events, information sessions, and fundraisers at the hall. Please join us! We’d love to meet you. See our Events page for more details.

We have a community email group where we send information about upcoming events, information sessions, or relevant community information. If you are new to the community, please email us so we can add you to the list.

There is a private Facebook Page called Bearberry Neighbours Helping Neighbours, where we post things of interest to others in the community including: events, lost animals, fire bans, local wildfires, and wildlife sightings. Please send a request to join to the group in Facebook. Note that to ensure privacy and minimize spam or scams, we verify who you are and ensure that you are local to the area before we accept your request to join.

If you are interested in knowing about, or want to report predator sightings in the area (cougars, bears), our resident wildlife biologists maintain a list of sightings in both Mountain View and Clearwater counties. The reported sightings are emailed out weekly during bear season. See the Mountainview Bearsmart Society website for more information, or email Jane and Paul directly to join.

If you’re looking for local businesses in the area, check out our Local Businesses page.

We really do want to meet you and help you get connected. Please email us and include your phone number so we can set up an easy, informal way to meet a few of the locals.
