Bearberry Community hosts a Horse Poker Rally on the third Saturday in September (another date may be chosen if the weather doesn’t cooperate). It is a marked trail ride through adjacent forests and crown land that takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours at a walk/trot (shoes not required). There are 3 check points along the way where cards can be selected for a poker hand.
Limited, rustic camping is available on site for before or after the ride for those coming from farther away.
After the ride is over, we host a cook-your-own-steak dinner accompanied by all the fixin’s. We then announce the winners of the top 3 poker hands, and draw for the numerous prizes and the 50/50 draw.
